I'm painting my Camaro a Victory Red, and I was debating whether to use black and red on my hood. I was also considering different designs if I was to use black and red.
I want to spray the hood red, and the scoop black, my wife thinks it's better to paint the whole hood red and black for the little area in front of the hood grill (3). My friend thinks I should paint the whole hood black.
please help me decide

Personally I like it all red. I was thinking about doing the little bit of black in the scoop myself but I decided that the little bit of black only looked good on the 4th gen cars and probably not on the 3rd gen.
Stephen, my wife really likes your color recommendations, but she's not confident I'm capable of doing that color design. I like it too but I'm leaning toward solid red (just 'cause I'm afraid my wife is right).
You could always farm out the black part, after painting red, just to make sure it was done right.
Or get you some black sheet vinyl (carbon fiber pattern/wood grain/brushed aluminum/lots of choices) to either test ON THE CAR instead of a PS, or actually LEAVE it like that. Use good vinyl & it'll last you plenty long.
that looks sexy but yes you have to do something to the scoop to make it stand out i went the easy and but camaro on it but love the two tone paint styles
it looks so sick and if you have t-tops then the black would tie into that and if your window are tinted, then that too, just a hint of black always sets off a red car
Looks awesome thats the hood i want but my rs is black so i dont know if i wanna do all black or a two tone same scheme as yours with a different top color
