this seems like a good idea in my head but im not sure if itle actually work. i would really like to have my plenum and runners powder coated to a gloss black or semi gloss black, but im not too sure if u can powder coat engine items because of the heat.

Yes you can powder coat anything i have had a set of exhaust pipes on my bike done in black for the last 3 years still looks great.Think about it they bake it on in a oven it likes heat and they have a high temp one also.
I had the inside of my intake manifold, runners and plenum coated with a themal barrier coating as used on headers. I had the outside of each coated with a black heat dispersent coating. The intake charge is down a minimum of 10 degrees.
