Should I leave the oil pan natural color or paint it black like the shortblock? I will be removing the Moroso decals. If I leave it natural I will spray it with clear engine paint for protection. LMK what you think. Thanks

Leave it natural and go with your paint protection plan
Well, cleaned and prepped pan and sprayed with Krylon Hi-Temp clear paint. Took the shine off the zinc finish. Looks Ok,but be forewarned that it is NOT clear. Should have left as is. Now has a dull alum.-like finish. Got pump, windage tray and pan installed with ARP 12-pt. bolts. Here are your pics Zane. P.S. It is a bit darker in natural light, flash makes it lighter in color.
Called Krylon, they said it is paint, not clear. Can was mislabled. Came out clear then turned kind of milky. So I'll just redo it. They are sending me a can of primer, clear, and black to make amends, plus refunding what I paid for the can of clear. I'll take it to work and strip it.
Well, got some spray on paint stripper and sprayed pan. After sitting for about ten minutes paint wiped off with a paper towel and looks like new. Heres the results. Also zinc coating is good as is, no clear spray needed, per Moroso tech.
