That works for me, I live on the complete opposite side of the country.
I read that and think what it means is car colors will be regulated from the factory, just to put some control on the situation, meaning black cars will not be completely illegal, and it would be your choice to get the car re-painted.
I personally think the whole idea is retarded, they should put more time into figuring out how to make automobile air conditioning systems, along with the alternator more efficient. They should also put more time into using lighter materials, and spend more time in the wind tunnel.
IMHO, limiting people's factory options is just stupid, and will drive sales down to the floor, when instead they could be thinking of more cost effective & efficient solutions, which would be more options just to brag about, and send sales up.

86niterider: What hood is that on your 92, I like it a lot, very nice third gen's too.
the hood on my 92 is the z28 hood with blisters. The hood on my 86 is a Daytona Twin Turbo with louvers. I think that is the hood you are refering to. The middle picture. The hood on my 88 is the z28 hood with louvers
That was the most assinine thing I have ever read. And it confirms what I knew when I last visited California in 1973...I don't want to ever move there...nor can I since I own THREE black Camaros all without CATS...lol...what a stupid state...
ill post up my black Z03 this weekend with my new camera. stand by.
Can't wait!
Seeing all these black Third Gens makes me wish I could tear down my Iroc, fork over probably around 5 grand, and just get everything resprayed an OEM GM black, or BMW Jet Black.
Something about the blue that I don't like anymore, I get a few comments here and there, but a lighter blue just doesn't seem too MACHO.

pulled the internal stops from the steering box (or you could get a monte carlo SS box), and trimed the steerings stops, there is a thread around somewhere by me on the build up.
Just got it painted. Still need to find a rear window louver.
I'd recommend just tinting your windows a little darker, depending on specific state laws. I don't know, it may be your personal likes, but window louvers just do not look right on these cars.
The rear end is already bulky looking, compared to the thin, lower front end.

window louvers were made for these cars. they are one of the few add ons that make them look tough. im going to tint the hell outta the windows as well. ill post more pics whem i get it on. you can decide then if you like it or not

I personally don't think they make these cars look tough. You'd be replacing glass with plastic, kind of gives it the cheap effect.
BUT, I'll tell you what window louvers do make look tough, a Prius!

i dont plan on buying plastic ones...you can get good aluminum ones......you just got to shop around. i respect your opinion as well shadow....but i guess we are lucky we dont have to share a car.
I agree, his probably is the sharpest looking car in this thread, most likely this whole forum. I found an IROC that challenges that sharp-ness though!
52,000 original miles, it's for sale right now, I believe $13,900.
I sure would absolutely love to own that IROC, or at least restore mine to match it. I'm due for a paint job, even though my blue still gets compliments here and there. Too bad my IROC will never be a completely correct restoration, it's an F code, and that 305 is LONG gone, I'm also putting on a 1988 spoiler with the third brake light.

I also found these black Third Gens while just browsing through Google one night, I don't have the slightest clue who they belong to, but they're some pretty sharp cars.
I hope no one minds incase they belong to a member on here.

By the way, Sickness91Z28, do you have any shots directly from the front, and/or side? I've liked the SS hood for a while now, and can't seem to find many decent pictures of it on a Third Gen.
