original rims

I want to repaint my rims but I have two questions how do I get the little trim piece that goes around the spokes off (highlighted)? and two I was reading in the classic industries catalog on different paint colors is this Nevada silver? Ok Ok three questions I forgot one how are those silly little center caps held on

On those particular rims, I'm preeetty sure the center caps have tabs that hold them to the lug nuts..

But then again i have Firebird rims so wtf do i know?

The center caps are held in place by a spring clip ring thingy (yeah, very technical name I know) that sits inside the cap. The unfortunate thing is that these caps attach differently than the similar alloy-looking ones

does it matter what style of lug nuts I have I bought a set of nice black powder coated ones. any idea you guys on how to get the trim thingy's (same technical name) from around the spokes
