ok, thanks for looking at my thread. Now, I am going to be painting my car at some point in time and i would like some help deciding on something. Whether or not I should change the color of my car. This question has haunted me since i first purchased it back in june. I LOVE the color of my car. i have absolutely no problem with it. its original, its unusal and its rare. But, a lot of people find it unattractive, especially in pictures(a lot say it looks good in person) but I'm just not sure I can stand people always telling me that my baby is ugly. that being said, tell me what you think. Be honest and dont hold back. I will post what pics I can, there are tons in my profile, just go to it and click on the album. Thank you very much for your time.

brown is not a color that stands the test of time too well in my opinion. blue, red, black, white, maybe silver, but brown, beige, certain greens, just look dated. my first car was a sentra that was the same color. everybody used to call it doodoo brown.
Depends on what you want to do with the car. Do you want to keep it as original as possible, or does that matter? As far as what other people think, who cares. If you like the color than stick with it, if it really bothers you that much, change it. Just my

well i personally wouldnt go back with brown if money werent an issue, but its gonna cost alot more if you change color, cause EVERYTHING has to be stripped and painted, so if you like the color just stick with it, something is to be said for being rare and unique, darker colors shine more too, make sure you have a little metallic in it tho if you go back with brown...give it a little pop
The bottom line is that you need to like the color. My car is red and faded pretty bad on the hood and the roof. People call my car ugly all the time, i dont care. I want to paint my car Maui Blue but i dont have the money or the space. In the end the only opinion that matters is yours
I just had an idea, I'll leave this car this color since its rare and i still love it and all, and I'll buy another car and paint that one. At least [I hope] that when i roll by another third genner they will appriciate the rarity of the color and seeing something that differs from the usual black, white, red. etc.
I think you have made a wise decision. I love the color brown. My dad had an 83 Z28 and it was brown. He loved it! My car is red and isn't very hard to come by, so be proud of your car. Brown Pride! lol
I like it. It's almost like a bronze color, nothing like doodoo brown. Most people are just not that fond of the color brown.
yeah i know what you mean, When its in the sun it almost looks orange! and when you look at it in the sun, there are actually red and gold flakes in it. I think its very cool.

I don't mind being unusual, better than blending in if you ask me
I was actually thinking maybe black with gold ground effects to match my wheels and keep with a factory paint scheme, thats actually my favorite paint scheme on the third gens (and i wouldnt have to change my interior to match. haha)

it is beautiful, I think I'm going to get a rolling chassis rs or something and put a newer 6 cyl in it so i get decent gas mileage but still have the torque to make it move and paint it. then use this as my weekend v8 car. as of now though, its a DD and I couldn't be happier =]
