I was going through my basement the other day, and I found a box of Simoniz deep cleaning car wax. I was looking for a wax/polish for my 1984 Trans Am, so I was glad I'd found it. Upon further inspection, I found out if was from 1989 haha. Unopened, still sealed in the can.
I dont see why the product wouldnt be good, its been sealed and I dont think it goes bad. But it says for Conventional finishes only (non-clear coat). Does this mean ins unsafe to use on my 1984 Trans Am? My TA's paint is original, and I'm pretty sure they used clear coat out of the factory back then didnt they?
I dont know why they'd make a product unsafe to use with clear coat, because I thought that even back then that all the cars were factory painted with clear coat. If I'm wrong, please let me know because I need to know if this stuff is safe to use on my car.
Thanks alot,
Ryan
