Just wondering out here in Ventura county freaking police there are on top on the license plate positions. If there are not properly place or position thats a nice ticket for you, lol.
I was looking at Eckler's Corvette's they sell a hide away plate. So you could display while driving and hide it at the shows.
We're supposed to have them here in Texas, but I don't run one. I stick it in the bottom right corner of the windshield sometimes. I've been hassled by the local gun toting tax collectors saying that I need to put it on the bumper, and every time I tell them that I'm not going to drill holes in the nose of my car. It's pretty much a very seldom enforced law around here. I have looked into fabbing up an electric hide-a-way, but I haven't come up with a design that I like yet and I'm not going to fork out $150 for the mass produced ones.

i have the same retractable license plate frame and its awesome. as long as its in the up position when you're driving, they shouldn't be able to mess with you. i've never heard of requiring a license plate to be in an exact spot, as every car is different. as long as you have a front plate if you're required to, you're fine. its nice to fold down the plate for car shows or photoshoots. glad i got one.

I have the exact same plate holder on my car (excuse the old pics). Cost me $2.00 for bolts and nuts to attach the holder and took 15 min to drill two holes and attach.
Currently mine sits on my passenger side windshield. I havent parked my car in the street or else I would of have a ticket by now. But cops cant walk up to my parking lot of the apartments cause its priavet propery, ha ha ha.
