Hatch Window Tint Removal?

ANY Tips on how to remove the old tint from the hatch? Im really not seeing how its going to be possible to remove it simply by SCRAPING it, is their some kind of chemical that I can pour on it that will just cause it to flake off? (Our idea was paint remover.. But I really dont know) The problem is the damn defroster wires, I gotta watch out for them, any advice would be amazing.

As always guys, thanks.

Blow dryer, dish soap & ammonia, plastic pot scrubber, mild elbow grease and a whole lot of time.

Re: Hatch Window Tint Removal?

I have heard of people spraying the tint with some solution and putting a black plastic on the glass. They then park the car in the sun for awhile to break the tint down. AFter awhile, they remove the plastic and the tint peels off and the glue just wipes up. Not sure if they are using just water or a water/ammonia mix or what.

Re: Hatch Window Tint Removal?

If your still looking i just did mine today. Started the corner with a blade and pulled all off in about 5 sections. then used 3M Adhesive, Tar & Wax Remover on a rag, well about 4 rags but it all came off with no problem took about 20 min. Just keep the blade away from the defrost lines
