Best idea goes to my dad.

In VA.. we can get all sorts of special interest plates, one is a "fight terrorism" theme. Has a little 9/11 logo on the left side and says fight terrorism on the bottom.

I about crapped myself when I saw his idea on the monitor for that plate... it said NUKEM

You blokes in the UK have "Q" and all his James bond toys. You expect me to believe that you cant make a plate that says "shagmaster Z" that flips over when the radar detector goes off and becomes a normal one ? ( hehe.. j/k .. sux that you cant have custom plates)

He he thats a great idea!

There aint much radar use over here, they like their speed camera's and mobile camera's. these just take a still photo of you when youre speeding & you get a fine in the post!

But we use 'flashproof' plates, they just show up blank on the photo!!! they must hate it when they develop the film, ha ha unlucky!!

Sorry to bitch about the UK vanity plate situation,

we CAN have vanity plates of sorts, but there are tons of restrictions,

My 86 Camaro is reg no. C558 UEG C is the year letter Aug 1st 85 - Jul 31st 86 If the plate you want has already been issued by DVLA (our version of DMV) and the person that owns the vehicle that the plate is attatched to wants to sell it (or if they have it on a retention certificate, then they own the plate without it being on a vehicle) then you can buy it for your ride.

BUT! you cannot put a plate on to your car if it makes the car look newer than it is, with my car being C reg I cannot display anything starting with a D unless its an old irish plate (typicaly MAZ 1234 or so on) or a verry old english plate for example DFR 563

Pain in the *** eh! UK vanity plates are also massively expensive, i was considering purchacing B16 KUM (big cum) it's one of the cheapest plates at £350 ($500) most expensive plate in the UK is MR 51ING (Mr Sing) at £300 000 yup half a million dollars!

a typical price is £1000 (about $1600) and you have to pay about $130 transfer fee!

I tried for A50 USA (use a cunningly positioned screw for A 5.0 USA)bot it sold before i could get it for $700
