Engine bay ideas

I'm nearly ready to fire her up. I need some ideas/thoughts about what else can be hidden or re-routed. (dont pay attention to the dirt, going to pull the motor and paint it)

suggestions?

Re: Engine bay ideas

First things I see from the pics is the orange power? wire on the drivers side hanging all around. I think I would try and run the spark plugs *WIRES* under the headers or get a nice loom to run at the vc rail. I would remove the OE stickers from the fan shroud... not much OE going on with that engine now.

I like the color of the throttle body btw

The orange wires you spoke of have been loomed and hidden and I ordered plug wire looms from billet specialities. The fan shroud is getting an aluminum cover as well. Oh, and it is the original L98 (block) you are looking at. LOL

Thanks, I love the look of that TB myself.

Re: Engine bay ideas

With perimeter bolt covers I'm using a set from Moroso. The rear has a holder for 4 (Vertical, running top to bottom) and then the lower two wires would split off and there is a holder (horizontal) to guide two wires going down to the back two cylinders. The front holder then holds the next two wires (vertical) and then another horizontal holder to guide them to the front two cylinders. It also has 2 holders for 4 wires to keep them neat in the back going to the distributor.

I don't care for the 4-3-2-1 style looms as they don't line up right with SBC heads with headers. They are more geared for BBC motors.

Updated...

Still need to figure out where to put the coil and what I'm going to do about a CAI.....but she's running. Went off to the exhaust shop yesterday, Dyno Friday.

Re: Engine bay ideas

the correct a cap...is a distributor cap..that lets the 4 wires on each side of the block go to that side of cap...so when you bring the wires to the cap you dont have to go to the opposite side of cap...jegs or summit have them ...maybe $50....

Thanks. I have virtually no knowledge when it comes to the mechanics....forgive my missunderstanding.
