Is that a Mazda RX-3 next to your Camaro in the picture with the trophy? Oh man, I love those cars. One of my favorite imports from the late 60's/early 70's. Oh, and your car is bad-*** too. lol, but would love to see some pics of that Mazda.

Awesome mod on the grill. Would love to know how you did it.. love the black! The only thing missing is really cool shifter ***. Not trying to sell you mine, I can just imagine how cool it would look with the rest of your interior. I think we have the same head unit too! Congrats on the honor. Stone

Re: April 2013 COTM ** WINNER **
I totally thought that I had posted up a reply on this already, but I am super excited that everyone felt that my car was worthy enough to win COTM for April! Honestly, there was some other damn nice cars that I thought for sure would win over mine. I really appreciate the kind words everyone! Thank you all!
I love my car like none other. I previously had an '85 Camaro Z28 that was pretty rough. I had, and still have, a vision of exactly how my car will end up. I'd always loved the 91-92 Z28's and I was basically going to transform my '85 into what you see here. My '85 was down for over a year from doing an engine/trans swap, prepping for pain, and suspension work when many of my friends started giving me crap for not driving around a F-body. I too missed driving my Camaro so I started looking on craigslist and local classifieds to see if there were any 91-92 Z28's when I happened to find this one. prior to that day I wasn't seriously considering buying a new car but once I saw it, I knew that I wanted to buy it as it was damn near exactly the car that I truly wanted. a black '91 Z28 with the 230hp LB9, T-5 transmission, N10 dual cats, G92 performance package and was only on it's second owner with under 130k on the clock and was insanely clean from top to bottom. The doors closed without that typical "thud" of most third gens. The interior looked mint and was in nearly perfect shape. the body had been repainted so it looked pretty sharp. And the under side was completely dry and clean, no a single hint of any leaks or seepage.
So I haggled the owner down a bit on price and I finally got the Camaro that I had been searching for for the better part of 5 years and immediately began adding things here and there to mold it into my ideal third gen. While I'm very happy with my car as it sits, I'll tell you this, I'm nowhere even nearly being even halfway done with it. I have some big plans for it in the near future and over the long run. I know it'll take many years before I can consider it "done", as if that term is ever appropriate for a project like this, but I truly appreciate the support and warm reception that I get from this community.

Beautiful ride!!!
I'm just getting my 87 vert back on the road after some years under wraps.
I have an 01 Corvette and would love to transfer that tire/wheel combo to my IROC. It looks fantastic on yours.
Tell me, did you need to make any changes at all to your suspension to fit the Corvette 5 spokes?
Can't wait to see what else you do to it.

Besides needing to run adapters, no. Though I recommend lowering any F-body.

DBLTKE, any idea how much your subs, box, and amp weigh? Any dynamat? How do you think 250 rear springs would be compared to the 200s you have? Reason i ask is Ground control set me up with 250 rears cause of the extra weight of my stereo and dynamat. I'm concerned about streetability of the 250's and would appreciate your input. Thank you in advance.

My sub box with the subs and amp installed weighs 46lbs. I dont think 250lb rear springs is too stiff but what are they paired up to on the front? That should match a 1000lb+ front spring.

Very Nice!
What spacer sizes are you using front and rear?
and where did you find the front splitter/air dam lip at?

Also are they 17x9 all the way around for the SS wheels? Or 18x9 in the back?

Don't stock z28s with 305s push 230ish to the wheels? I expected you to be at least 245? maybe? I dont know.. Or was the dyno before you added some mods?

In 91-92 the z28's with the 350 had 245hp and the LB9 with the N10 and G92 package had 230hp. This rating is at the crank, not the wheels. Accounting for the approximate 15% drivetrain loss that would mean that I'm at around 257hp at the crank.

Oooooh okay that makes more sense, so reasonably speaking a 1991 RS makes like 150ish probably? ;/ That makes me a little sad but Im probably gonna build the suspension up before motor mods, if any, besides minor things, headers, cat delete. so on,, an so on. Hopefull gonna have it here in less than a month!!! *fingers crossed*
