Re: Anyone w/ a DAYTONA IROC HOOD SCOOP

Didn't they used to make a scoop for the firebirds as well w/o the inserts? I haven't been able to find one, but I know I seen a scoop like that for sale in a mag several years ago.

I know someone that has one on a Firsbird so yes thry made one for the birds and it has the holes on the side. It is not that white one in the pic above either. It looks just like the Camaro one.

Re: Anyone w/ a DAYTONA IROC HOOD SCOOP

that white one is the twin turbo hood. they look better than you think they would. Still love the daytona hood but want to see one on a 91-92 RS. I don't know if that would be to busy or not.

God I hate the looks of the daytona hood, but everyone has differnet taste...to me it makes the car look so old.

Re: Anyone w/ a DAYTONA IROC HOOD SCOOP

I would have to agree w/ the hood being dated! Its a 80's thing...If that the look you are going for then it works...I am looking to get away from the 80's look and going w/ a more updated look. I think I am going to go simple w/ a stock z28/iroc hood.

Everytime I see one of those it makes it makes me think of the that god awful movie Corvette summer with Mark Hamill. Personally I think it dates the car big time, but to each his own.
