ID these louvers, please =)

I found this camaro in the user rides, I emailed the guy who owns it and have not heard form him. Those anyone know where these louvers came from?

Those look like the "shawdow" louvers manufactured by the Chastain company. Not sure on the spelling for Chastain.

I believe that company is lond dead anyway

I had those same exact louvers on my 85--think they were made by Kraco--no-not the cheapo radio-The sides were plastic and the center piece was aluminum--there was 2 lower wing nut type things on each corner that twisted loose so you could raise the center piece to clean the window.

If you are going to go with louvers, at least go with the factory GM. they look better. just my .02 cents.

i had the factory louvers on my 86 they looked cool as hell compared to those ones, except they broke off the clips racing a civic at about 107mph, they flew

I had the factory ones on my car. They look good with the low spoiler, but not the high rise Z. When I changed the hatch, I left them off.

pro: they keep the snow and frost off the rear glass.

con: they make a big blind spot.

just something to think about.
