i was able to fit 4 switches in the ashtray and i wired through the hole in the back just make sure that you use the smalles wire u can cause it can get reall crowded underthat thing also u can put any extra transformers under the console i just made my own metal plate and put some finished screws in and it looks really good

I plan on getting a piece of plastic that matches up with the black interior trim pieces to make my own radio delete plate, since nobody has them anymore. I want to mount my nitrous guage on it and switches for the nitrous on it.

Thanks, I'll give it try. Someone said Year One had them, but they stopped selling them. I called my local GM dealer, they don't have them and said GM doesn't mae them anymore. I'll try gmpartsdirect.com

Here's mine. The best part about them was the ashtray lid would close back over them to make it look comletely factory! Too bad the switches were junky and always broke. Now I've got a 4th gen console so I'll have to figure out a different setup anyway.
