IROC Turbo hood owners, how to fill in the holes???

My car is painted, looks AWESOME!!! I'll post pics when I can get some pics in the sunlight. But I can't figure out how to get the black fiberglass ASCD sent to fill in the holes on the side of the hood. Any ideas? Are you supposed to cut it? It does not fit any way you turn it.

Thanks, I thought they needed to be cut. Anyone else have some pics or more details? What about the wire mesh that came with the hood?
