OK, I'm pulling the seats this weekend, in prep. for the winter interior overhaul. Anyone got any quick tips? This looks fairly simple...but I haven't got in there yet.
Maybe this is insanely simple, and you all are thinking I'm crazy, but since I haven't started yet......I figgered it couldn't hurt!!!
it is really simple...just requires a little patience and standing on your head
each front seat is held in by 4 bolts/or nuts on studs. first remove all the trim pieces attached to the seat tracks, should be philips head screws, then take the bolts loose...move the seat back for the fron ones and then forward for the rear ones. they are metric 13 or 14mm. have both a socket and an open end wrench to make it easy.
back seat: seat back is held on at each side by one nut right at the hinge where it folds down, not sure about split seats but I am guessing its just another couple nuts. seat bottoms are held in by one bolt each just under the lip of the seat in the center. after that they just lift out
its amazing how much room you have in there once those useless seats are out...get yer sleepin bag and camp for winter
I just did a front seat swap last weekend. A 13mm racheting wrench makes it so easy. The screws on my plastic covers were all posidrive.
The swap I did was on nonpowered seats I'm not sure about powered.
Front seats: 4 13mm nuts (each) lean back, and remove wires after bolts are out.
Back Seats: 1 13MM bolt in the front of EACH seat bottom
Back Seat Back: 2 Bolts in the lower corners, same goes for 1 or 2 piece rear seats.
(Split seats have an extra welded tube for the center hump.)

Ditto. Did mine again this morning - took out the cloth and put back in the leather.
hmmm IIRC I've heard it said by many different people that they are 13 and then by others 14, I think both may be right. Also IIRC mine are studs in the floor with nuts for the front seat and then I've seen pictures where they are bolts. Maybe different for different plants or years?
Well guys its pretty important exactly WHAT size they are, for example what if u didn't own any sockets and simply wanted to buy 1 socket and a ratchet to take ur seats out and u came home with the wrong size?!?

I think after 5 YEARS, Abubaca has probably figured out what size they are!
