Hey guys, I figured this would be the best forum to post this in. I'm heading down to the GM Sports Salvage tomorrow, and figured I would snoop around for some of you guys. Let me know if you need anything, and I'll check around the yard for it, but make sure it's "Body and Interior" related, like a console, or seats from a fourth gen. Just givin you guys a heads up, cause prices on ebay usually aren't that great. A message here will be sufficient, and I'll get back with the cost of any requests.
Watch out, those guys will rip you a new one on prices too. They pretty much pull them out if their @$$. Just be sure to go in knowing what the part would cost you new and what you've seen similar stuff go for used if possible.
Have fun. I always enjoy looking around at what they have. The best time to go is the weekend after the first rain. Lot's of unfortunately smashed up f-bodies seem to come in.
'94 Camaro Z28 - Unbalanced Engineering PHR and rear LCAs, 1LE front LCAs, Koni shocks, Eibach Pro Kit springs, LS1 front brakes, Hotchkis STB, Flowmaster exhaust, Cutom CAI, BMR SFCs and LCA relocation brackets, 4-point roll bar
Yeah, I know! But I gotta get some stuff that should be fairly cheap, hehe, stuff that'll fit in the pockets, a couple of screws But I know how much stuff "should" be going for, but thanks for the head's up!
I am looking for all things interior related. I need a new automatic shifter plate. Mine has cigarrette burns from when the previous owner had it. I need the peice of plastic that goes above the same panels between the seat belt holders also. I need that part in light grey. Also fourth gen seats would kick ***. I would prefer them in black leather if possible. Just shoot me some prices if you could. Appreciate it man.
I went there the other day.
They want $175 for a 145 mph speedo for my 92.
But only $100 for an aluminum driveshaft.
They want $900 for a set (F/R) of leather fourth gen seats.
Some of their prices are pretty high, but around here, it's the only place to get some items.
I picked up two front seats at Pick-Your-Nose on Saturday for $60.
Cleaned up really nice after I got them home.
(I'm currently unemployed, so I have lots of time to scrounge the local yards)

I was just there about 2 weeks ago and was quoted 250 for a LS1 drive shaft. They are really high on alot of stuff. But they can also source stuff really well. I paid 75 for a quick ratio box about 6 months ago. They think they are a GM certified partts counter sometimes. And they guys there arent the most helpfull people either.
Theres a U Pull it in my area. They have awesome pricing. I got a couple items for just five bucks. They have about 25-30 third gen Camaros and Firebirds. I plan on going out there in a couple weeks. I bet I can find good pricing on some of that stuff.
87WS6--where abouts in texas are you??i need a V-8 donor car and some other misc. intereior stuff and most of the "boneyards" i know of around arlington are picked clean..any info. as far as name/location would be greatly appreciated..sinjin89..
good luck on that domelight cover, I couldn't find one for about a year so I never put the console in my 91 I got tired of not having it in so I molded the original dome light housing into the rear of the 87 roof console so I would have a domelight cover and wouldn't be ashamed to put it in my car
When I went into my local salavge place, I bought a used gauge pod and it was only 35 bucks. It was for my 91 ranger, but id imangine that those are all the same. This place is off a interstate, so its go alot of crap in it. The only problem is the dudes are huge @$$es. I wouldnt go there again, but look for bigger places, their stuff is usually alot cheaper, if you didnt already know.
