Those with aftermarket seats- seat belt retainer mounting? - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

I am buying some new Recaro seats soon to replace the factory crap seats. Was wondering about the plastic seat belt retainer screwed in to the headrest.

Were you able to put this piece on your new seats? I really do not want to have to reach all the way back to grab the seatbelt.

If you have a pic on how you mounted it, please post it.

Get four point seat belts! Thats what I did with my Corbeau seats. I mounted the lap belt to the front factory mounts and the over the shoulder belts to the rear seat lap belt mounting holes.

There's a real simple solution. I just got a $4 shoulder pad for the seat belt. Then I just let that part rest on the side bolster on the seat. That's the joy of racing seats, the sides extend farther. Now as far as getting out of the seat.....
