I remeber that being asked before. If I remember correctly, it's not worth it one bit. Should have bought one with the T-Tops on it. Plus, it may(don't take my word for it) compromise the rigity of the body. And plus, I think it's muy expensivo!!!

Ah the ever preverbrial question on adding t's to a hardtop 3rdgen.

Do you already have any quotes for this? At kittcustoms or something like that they charge 1500.00 flat to do that to a hardtop car, thats with just replacing the top and not fixing any welds or painting it. For 7000.00 They completly fix the body of your car and give you a killer paint job. But you could find a t'top fbody for like 1500, and fix it up to the same quality for less than 7000.00.

Basically what has to be done is cutting off your roof at the weld on the b pillar and somewhere on the a pillar of your roof then finding a good j/y fbody with t's to cut in the exact same spots that were cut on your Camaro and then weld on the new top. Also I would find an t'top car that has a gap that is the same inbetween the windshield to t's as the a pillars do. You will find more t'tops with that setup than an other aftermarket t'top conversion that was done to a factory hard top so it could become a t'top car. It depends on which company did the conversion to the car.
As for leaking if everything is doen properly and sealed correctly any t'top car shouldnt have any leaks but in some cases there can be some flex to the body that cant be remedied.
