I have been looking everywhere for this, I need to see if I can get a part # for the outer "lip" seal on the t-tops. Its the one that hangs/overlaps the window glass. I tore mine off a couple years ago because the were tearing. I need a GM part#. Can you even buy just these or do you have to buy the whole kit?

Does anyone know what the price is on those parts? I need two new ones, as well.

Those pieces are plastic now? How does that work? Anyone happen to have a picture of them? At least on my car, it seems like the glass kinda slides under it when you shut the door, how would that work with hard plastic? Or is it a soft kinda plastic?
HG... to my knowledge (take it with a grain of salt ), GM revamped (I should say revised I guess..) the t-top seal designs in 92 upgrading the 'seal strip' (part in question) to plastic due to the problems with the rubber piece and the top seals got a 'rain channel' designed into the to help prevent water getting in betwen the top and roof joint. The 92 style is now the only seal available from GM.
Here is a shot of the door/glass just open past the seal strip...
The glass passes just under the strip and when fully pressed against the jamb waetherstrip, the glass pushes upwards slightly making it appear as if the glas would hit it when the door opens but, is not the case... door fully shut...
I see. Thanks man. So you sure those are the right part #'s? I need to get me a pair, my passenger one isn't bad, but my drivers side is about shot. It's ripped/torn in one spot...
I'm 99% positive my case of stupidtitus didn't get me this time plus, I've yet to do my other t-top so the seal is still off it for me to check my #'s from the collision breakdown off my site. Hard too see (crappy camera) but, here is the seal strip # for the pass side...
My 86 has rubber, my 92 has plastic. On the 92, the pass door used to shut on the plastic part in 1 spot and warped it. Later it ripped off.

I got my new ones over the summer, yes they aer plastic. I still havnt put them on b/c I dont know how to take the t-tops apert to get them on. As far as I got was removing the outer plate and latch handle thats it I dont want to break them so if anyone has any diagrams or something that will help i would really apperciate it. I wanted to get this done before I go to a meet in Toms River NJ to make it look nice.
