how to remove a windshield????

first off please don't tell me to use the ole wire trick, I have tried that in the past and it is a real puta. last summer I had my windshield replaced in one of my cars and the auto glass repair company that came to my house just sprayed something on the perimeter of the glass after he removed the molding and the glass came out slick as snot.this was all in less than 5 minuets and he didn't even break a sweat and he did it all by himself. I couldn't believe how easy it was for this guy. anyone know what this spray is that auto glass companies use to get windshield out?????? I am assuming this spray softens up the black tar like gue that holds your glass in place.

Windshield removal knife. It's an L-shaped knife with a handle to pull. Chances are you'll break the windshield into 4 thousand pieces, but it'll still hold together unless you really butcher it.

Or the wire.
