you could always disasemble the steering column and manual remove the locking pin/cable

removing every thing would be the cleanest way i would think, but don;t you need the key to remove the cylinder. i think the cyl has to rotate to be removed. on some cars you have to i don;t know about ours. i have also snapped the locking pin by pulling the wheel real hard. then the lock does not work any more.

no i think once u get into the steering column, u can take out the lock clylinder retaining screw, and the cylinder will come out, but all u have to do is keep the locking plate out, and it wont lock as long as it is out, and it wont break nothing

JeffW is correct... you need to turn the cylinder to ACC to remove it. I recommend removing the locking pin/cable like armac said.

Need4Speed1387,

In your first post pertaining to your problem, I misunderstood what your intentions were. If I understand what you are talking about correctly, what you want tp do is just unlock the the steering wheel so the wheels can be turned. If that is the case, there is a rod inside the steering column that engages a serrated wheel on the steering column when the key is in the off position. I have a picture of this in my service manual and will e-mail it to you if that is acceptable to you. :BURNOUT:

and if u remove that toothed gear, then the steering wheel wont lock peoples, not breaking nothing no cables have to be removed no pins, just that gear
