Thinkin of doin an ice pearl job on my car when I repaint it. Wondering what the pearl would look like over a bright red. Anyone got any pics?

A friend of mine put pearl over red on his wife's mustang. It looks like a hazy red....almost pinkish color. It's so bad his wife won't drive the car till he re-paints it.

I vote NO.

...no pics though. Sorry.

The nose/flames on my car are done in white pearl over the bright red. The flames also have gold pearl on the tips, and the bowtie on the cowl hood is in gold pearl too.

The white pearl over the red gives it a "silvery" effect when the sun hits it. Its hard to get just right with a camera though.

Thanx fellas. I think I'm gonna stick with a bright red, either blue blood red by HOK or Boyds red by Dupont and do some kind of graphics with the ice pearl to make it subtle.
