Poll: Camaro Or Firebird
Well this is the age old question, which 3rd gen do you like better. Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird.
Thought it would be cool to see which one the board likes the best although I think we can all agree they are both great.

I personally don't like the third gen firebird body style, but I don't like the 4th gen camaro body style
I'm sure you're going to get about 50/50 response to the pole

there are 2 camaros to every firebird made I think....your poll should have similar results.
I like the firebirds AND camaros, but I always seem to end up in a 'bird.

Looks like it's about 2:1 Camaro:Firebird right now. I imagine that we'll see this ratio run out for the duration of the poll.

I'm a Trans Am girl at heart, though I'd never turn any other 3rd gen down if the price was right.

hate to break this to ya but a trans am is a firebird.
just like an iroc or rs is still a camaro.
If your voting for ta, you could not have a ta with out the fiebird. in the same way if they dropped the camaro, there would be no iroc.

Thus, why I voted Firebird.

Here's my take on this...
The Trans am front ends look kewl and I can respect the Formula's "all out performance theme", but I don't think I could ever buy one... at least a 3rdgen.
The 3rdgen Firebirds do little to nothing for me. From the front they look good, but the back just looks fat, butchered, and way too flat. That, and those popup headlights are oogly when their up. Don't get me started on those ugly mile wide guage configurations.
My vote was Camaro. They look sleek and brute.
Again, as someone stated tho: 3rdgen = CAMARO ; 4thgen = FIREBIRD/TA

I love the 3rd Gen Camaro bodystyle and dont much care for the firebird as much, but I pretty much like all 4th Gen firebirds and I really dont like the 4th Gen Camaro unless it is an SS. A few look good with a body kit to aslong as its not to extreme. Overall I am a Camaro man though.

It's nearly 50/50 right now with the Camaro having the slight lead.
I know this is about thirdgens, but some have commented on fourthgens, so I will too.
I had Z28s in the early to mid '80s because of the lower price and a bit better performance, but I always prefered the Firebird's looks, both inside and out. But when the Formula came out in '87, it reigned with me as having the perfect balance of looks, performance AND price. It's still my favorite, obviously.
The fourthgens were very different from each other. I LOVED the Firebird immediately--very sexy. The Camaro took some time to grow on me, but once it did, I really liked it's sleekness. BUT... I think the last version of the fourthgen Camaro, '98 thru the end, was completely UGLY--one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen! I have no idea what Chevy was trying to accomplish with that front end. Just because it seemed "cool" to have round headlights again, it doesn't mean the car needed them. It looked like a half-@$$ed attempt to jump on the "nastalgia" bandwagon.
It's too bad the '88 GTZ concept Camaro never evolved into production. Now THAT was an awesome-looking car!

Fell in love with the Camaro the first time i saw one.
I even love my parts car.
I would love to buy a TA someday, but I would never let it look better than my IROC-Z.

I haven't seen any stock Camaros get even close to a 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am!!! Well, I take that back, they are always in my rear view!!
You got my vote,
