Post subject: Dupli-Color Scratch Fix 2-in-1 touchup

Has anyone actually used this product? It's on tv being advertised every so often and has me curious.

I would NEVER buy touch up paint unless you car is less than a year old since touch up paint is NOT always exact, nor at times ever close since the sun fades paint.

Buying a touch up paint (Medium Quasar Blue metallic WA 9544) for a 1992 Camaro does NOT mean it will match exactly.

I am not interested in buying this but merely curious if anyone else has? It would be nice if you could buy an empty one and be able to fill it with the correct match (ie. touch up paint from your bodyshop who recently painted your car).

ive used duplicolor products,
i repainted my rims to match the GM red, from there faded pink color,
i also repainted my stock spoiler cause it was faded while the rest of my car is still bright GM red and in near perfect condition,
both the rims and the spoiler match perfectly,
i used a touch up product, i think the 2 in one your talking about, on the area right behind my door, some jerk slamed my car with thier door,
i didnt compound it flat with the rest of the paint yet, so light hits it differntly and it apears a slightly darker shade of red,
ive got a detailing manual that explains how to do such a scratch repair that hasnt steered me wrong yet if you want me to find it and type up what it says about scratch repair i can
i havent seen any product that you could fill up yourself, but couldnt you use a similar small little brush with paint from your body shop for the same effect

its not an EXACT match but its pretty close. If your just using it on a little scratch apply it liberally and then wet sand it down and buff it out and you shouldnt be able to notice any difference. However if you leave it blobbed on you might be able to tell a slight.. very slight miscoloration.
