What are all the parts I will need to put the 4th gen BCM, (keyless entry and hatch release) in my Camaro? I already have power locks and electric hatch release and I am decent with actual physical wiring, if I know what to do/ need.
Got a Integrated Body Control Module from a 96 Firebird, with about 20 wires coming off of it. {GM 16243951 Model/ FFC ID AB01702R}
I have both Chiltons 82-94 and 94-98 F-body, however I am still not sure on what to do? Also what remotes would work best?

Here are some instructions I found for programming the fob. They were supposedly for a 1996 Firebird. Does that Sound right?
1- Turn ignition off. Remove RADIO fuse (fuse #17) from the fuse block. Cycle the ignition switch from OFF to RUN 3 times within 5 seconds until door locks and hatch release cycle. Indicating the BCM is in program mode. Leave ignition key in RUN postion.
2- Press both LOCK and UNLOCK button on Transmitter for 16 seconds. Door locks will cycle (LOCK then UNLOCK) confirming the transmitter has been programmed. Door locks must cycle completely to unlock before proceeding.
3- Repeat step (2) for each additional transmitter to be programmed.
4- Turn off ignition switch, and replace fuse #17. confirm fuctions of transmitter.
I think you'll have a hard time integrating a 96 BCM with just what you have. The BCM on OBDII cars do a lot more things and have a lot more inputs and outputs than earlier BCMs.. If you're just wanting remote locks and trunk, get an alarm.. There $99 and a whole lot easier to hook up.
From what I have read 89-90 (hopefully 91) are 3 wire positive on the locks. I have read 99 (maybe 96) are 3 wire negitive on the locks what does that mean for me?
Programming remote for 95 Z28, or what my search came up with.
1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position, then to the OFF position. This will disarm the Vehicle and Content Theft-Deterent/Alarm (if your vehicle has this option).
2. Remove the RADIO fuse. This fuse is located in the main fuse block, located on the left side of your main instrument panel.
3. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF to the RUN position three times quickly ( within five seconds). The vehicle will respond by locking the doors, unloccking the driver's doors and releasing the hatch. Your transmitter is now ready to match to your vehicle.
4. Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the first transmitter for 15 seconds. The vehicle will respond as in step 3.
5. Repeat Step 4 for the remaining transmitters.
6. When you have finished matching all of your transmitters, replace the RADIO fuse.
7. Check that all transmitters work by pressing their buttons
