Patiently waiting - Not in a hurry, just wanted to let you know the interest is still here.
I have now a dual guage pillar pod with oil temp, and trans temp. They are in the Carbon Fiber Black back ground - So when you said you could do the overlays in Black Carbon fiber - Wow I almost flipped. Every thing will now match.
Keep up the good work, ED.

There is a substitution for cubic inches, and that is cubic inches and boost.
Pedal to the metal until you see the "Gates of Hell", then brake.
These should work with gauges for the 82 Z-28's? If so I would like to consider a set as well. Those look really great and would really change the look of my gauges. Nice job!!
I printed the first 4 "test" sets, which BTW, look AWESOME! I had the new faces for my own car sitting in the car over a VERY cold freezing night. The next day the outer 1/4" of the faces had started delaminating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ran a test using my freezer and one of the sets was perfect, the other set showed signs of delaminating.
I talked to my tech guy and he said that since I'm using a matte finish print media with "standard" lamination, he can't be sure what'll happen.
Well, shoot, I KNOW what happens, I need to know what to do about it!!! I have two ideas. One is to use a Matte lamination over gloss media, the other would simply to use no lamination at all. The faces in the pics on page one have no lamination, and they've held up fine as far as I can tell.
Never fear, we'll get this right sooner or later.
...but in the meantime, once again I've been delayed. Guys, I'm sorry 'bout this. I'll keep ya posted.
If there are issues with temperature, I would pick at least two people in opposite climates to test these before too many are sent out. Up here in Minnesota it gets down to -30 Degr. F and then down south in the summer it would get really hot especially with the doors shut in the sun.
Awsome man. If/when you decide to do some for the Firebird's, Ill take a set ! You said that your able to do someone of a custom theme (possibly change what the words say, all that jazz) right?
...don't know that I'll be able to assemble these this week due to me probably working late, but I'll be sure to do 'em this weekend!!! ...for those 3 members, I'll be contacting you this week with some details.
...for the rest of you 85-89 Cammie guys, we'll keep you updated...
I'd like to think that when all is said and done, those of you who DO actually purchase these will be happy with the product.
...here's the prints hangin' in the ol' window. Can't keep 'em rolled, and don't have room in my room, so to the wall it is!!!
I printed three sets from 3 different file types. AI, PDF and TFF. I didn't have time to go over them at work so I'll go over 'em later and pick the best. Plus ya never know when you'll need and extra fuel level face!!!
No those "extra" faces are not red. They would not (coincidentally) match my car. The fact that they'd match MY car, and that I am the one making these, and I would be the ONLY person with red faces, are all merely coincidence. I don't know what you see. In fact I don't even see an extra set. ...and for the record, there's no big car show in Charlotte this April 8th and 9th where I might be able to show off some unique body color matching gauges.
...but if there were such a set of faces, I'd probably only use them once in awhile since I really like the classic "black" look.
I would also be interested in '92 guages if it's at all possible. I also would not mind it in the least if you charged a bit over cost for them, especially after reading this thread and seeing all that you have gone through. I am more impressed with your determination to help the thirdgen community than I am with the guages themselves, even if they are the best I've seen. Good job!
they look RED hot to me.. wicked as a matter of fact.
'tis ok, I wouldn't want a red set since my car is black.. but I'd certinally consider other colour options, especially if they matched my trim (like silver for example.. hint hint.. lol!)
keep us posted... you know I'm ready to drop some cash down on a set whenever your ready.

I've experimented with metallic/silver finishes. I won't rule them out, but for now they're not on the list. I'd rather do other faces for other cars more than additional options for 85-89 cammies.
I GOT MY SET IN THE MAIL i would have replied earlier, but the search was down. these things are hot, i cant wait to get my car back so i can put em on.
got my set also a long while back. they look absolutely awesome.... i however hadn't had the time to try and install them yet. work's been nuts. i'll try and post pics, if i ever get done.

Those look terrific! I have a design I've come up with and was wondering if you'd print them for me since you seem to have the whole printing thing down to a science?

One-owner 1989 RS, restified in 2003, starting over and rebuilding it later this summer!
Once that problem is solved, I'll post up another post and I'll see who wants what gauges. I'll probably start with 82-89 Camaro guys, and if those guys are happy, we'll go from there.
Please post here and let us know when you start the other post because we will get an email notice on this thread and not the new one.
PM me whenever you get some spare time to make another set!

You make up some Firebird ones... I'll gladdly test them. Doesn't get much further south than Key West!
