Hood (hood release) won't open

1992 RS - hood will not open - Hood release seems to work fine but hood will not pop - tried pushing on corners, middle etc. ANy help would be appreciated

Have someone pull up on the hood front & center when someone else pops the release. You probably just need a little chassis lube on the latch.

I would check the alignment of the hood, if that is ok then I would check the alignment of the hood latch/spring.

Done both and had to finally pop the hood from underneath the car

mine does that the hood release cable is streached put might try to see if that is it

Mine used to do that too, but I find a regular application of lube to the latch prevents it from happening.
