As with the others that have posted similar, a small cowl induction would do just fine. But I think bringing alitle pontiac style up front would be alright. Like a restyled power bulge, except in the center, or a shaker setup from the first and second generation, but remember this is a blend of both cultures, so going leaning one way may lose your idea. Your call man, but anyway, awesome craftmanship, and the paint it pretty pimp too.

I think I like it. I pondered the same thing once. Visualizing it and such. As far as the hood goes, anything that would make it stand out even more. I personally would go with some kind of aftermarket rims so they'd be "neutral" I guess you could say.

And of course those fender flares need to be evened up. I dunno, maybe a little bit if bondo or something on the front ones to make them less defined so they'd match the rear. Yeah, hybrid fenders on a hybrid car.

it started out as a 86 ws6 T/A. Oh I put the lsi brakes on this too, it gets one more vote because this thing will stop a digested white castle (think about it) I'm still having to think of a hood that will fit the lines, whatever they are lol. Dunno about you guys, but i think the best hood for the car would be an LT1 Ram Air styled hood seen on the WS6 T/As and Firehawks. Not as huge and ugly looking as the ls1 styled ones, but yet complimenting.

Personally, I love it. Should have been produced that way. I would call it Cam-Am since the front end is Camaro. I was thinking that the ram air hood would look good too, except for the rounded lines of the hood.

If you were even decent with fiberglass and bondo you could change the hoods lines to look more square. But why pay $400 for a hood when you can take a stock hood and cut it up and add what you want.

You can even make your own scoop with enough fiberglass and some carvable foam/rubber like the crap crafts people use for making fake floral arrangements. Some people like the challange. I didn't think it was that difficult.

I like challenges, but my talent is limited to say the leastbYou have the same idea I have though, I found the hoodscoop that I want, I will just take a stock hood and somehow get it on there, the scoop will be black and the hood the body color. Oh and I went to see King Kong tonight, lemme tell you if you cried at ole yeller you will do the same on this WHAAAAAAAA

Do you have a picture of the scoop you want? I'd like to see what you've picked out. I've made a couple of hoods for buddies and one for myself. It really just takes a willingnes to take time with the materials. Having a functioning scoop is as easy as drawing a pattern dilling some spot holes and taking a jigsaw to it. If want, I can write up a how to.

Unless you have been building cars since you were a kid you can't possibly understand the kind of time, dedication, knowledge, and money involved in something like this. If I'm wrong then please tell me about your vast expierience.

Your what, 17 years old? I'm only 23, and have massive respect for the rest of the people on this site. I've been helping to build, and building my own cars since I was 11. My engine was completely rebuilt by ME. The body work, paint, suspension, electrical, welding, roll cage, will all be done by ME.

I'm not claiming to be an expert on everything, but I have enough wrench time, on enough different cars, to be able to do almost any job. It took me 3 months and thousands of dollars to take out my engine and tranny, rebuild to my specs(look to the left) and get everything back in and get it running right. All in my driveway. Now imagine how long it took to build his car. And I'm sure he's not even close to done either.

All I'm saying is, if you are going to come on here you need to show respect to the guys who have put in the time to make something that is truely special. The trans-maro is a true love of 3rd gen f-bodies. That's what this site is all about. People who love these cars. Just because you have one doesn't make you a part of this community.

Haven't you heard? They are only allowed by law to teach manners to 25% of all school age children. That we OLD people can have something to complain about. ZZ4 seems to have fallen in the 25%.

There seems to be an 86 thing going on here. I know the engines in the 86's were dogs (a 350 was not even offered and the cam profile dropped the hp rating), but I like having the only year Camaro with the high mounted third brake light. I definately like seeing it on the trans-maro. Gives it a definate 86 feel.

Besides if you have the really good suspension package that came on the some 86 IROC Z28's, you will notice having a very large stock set of sway bars. I am one of those people and I will not be changing mine any time soon. At least not until the more important stuff is done first.

Just because it didn't come with a 350 doesnt mean you cant have one and im about to fill in where my third brake light was. those caps in the corners of the hatch glass fit right into the holes left in the glass by the brake light.

I think one of the reasons I fall into this class is living in pretty much the lowest part of a good area. my school parking lot is filled with brand new bmw, lexus, audi, mercedes, etc. and most people just look at my car and say ew, its old. but id take it over their cars any day. again, not in a bad area really, just way on the low end of the area i am in.

like i said, it don't look to bad, you could also call it a trans-cam

man my school was filled up with tractors blazers f150s and the occasional beater nova jacked up in the back with cherry bombs (I'm from KY) and come to think of it thats still the thing out here lol

I'm from Cincinnati, but changed schools when I went to high school. Everyone had jeeps, trucks, and rear wheel drive cars. A few people had nice cars. One guy had a porsche 914, a girl I dated had a trams am that her dad bought her. That was about the the only reason to date her lol. It was like the parking lot was a show room for 80's car's.

During football we used to have to run sprints on the bottom level of the parking lot (the parking lot was built on a hill and had five tiers). Everyone knew to move their damn cars after school. The guy with the porshce decided he was special one day a didn't. About 5 guys ran their sprints over the top of the car. Then we moved his car to the football field. I thought it was funny at the time, but now I would never think messing up someone car was funny. If I could ever catch the bastards throwing eggs at cars on my street I'd shoot them dead in the street.

it was red, red means overcompensation |______| tee hee.....I think it needs to be dropped but that would take away from the effectiveness of the LCA relocation brackets because the angle of them would be more parallel with the road and theres goes my traction.... not that I get any anyways. Maybe I'll drop it in the front, make it look like a stinkbug

I've got mine dropped 2" in the front. I like the stance. Preloads for take off too. I hated all the wheel well gap. Plus not dropping the rear leaves room form much bigger tires. I'll post pic up later.

did you use spindles or springs? I modded these spindles for the LS1 brakes so please say you used springs
