Man its a nice day out, cool breeze n all.
But darn if ya can't tell in the car.
Only way to feel the cool air is to stick your hand out the window.
I guess its a design of the car, or maybe cause its a two door. I dunno but man I wish there was some sort of air deflector one could buy to force some air flow into the car. Kinda like them funky triangle windows they stick on trucks.
Its such a nice day but it hard to enjoy when its 99f in the car when sunny and only 50f outside.

How in the heck are tinted windows gonna help me get some air flow?
----------
Past years I had to run a 110 inverter and hang a mini fan in the car to get air flow. All I need is a bit of air flow, plenty cool outside.

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
Ive noticed this lack of airflow too it seems as though wind just passes by not into the car. Especially since my window motors suck, and can only roll down my driver side halfway , and my ac doesnt work, but i do have T-Tops so that helps. Thank god I live in Indiana, and it doesn't get to HOT
Or buy a vert. I haven't used my A/C in a LONG time.
And the lack of airflow just means the car is aerodynamic. Hardly any air touches the body. See how long water sits on your hood after it gets wet. You can drive for a very long time until all the beads are dry.
But check the "fabrication" section of this board to see if you can jerry-rig some air deflectors for your windows. I'm sure some idiot (a.k.a. tacky yankee) has tried it.
I'm just jerkin' your chain about the tacky yankee comment. I used to be your neighbor ... lived in Pennsylvania. But it's funny 'cause it's true!
To bad they dont have some sort of clip on vents for sale. Not the ones along the top to run window cracked in the rain. But like a nascar window scoop vent to direct air at ya. Just snap into the window frame when its down.
Almost think I have seen them before but for mustangs.
So guy can dual use their cars and keep the stock windows.

You really want some massive air flow? Remove the windshield, invest in either some goggles or a bug shield and you will have more air flow that anyone could ask for

i think everyone is overlooking a factory option. "ram air" plenum venting. heater only firebirds got it. there are two leavers down below the column, "right vent" and "left vent" that open up these vents by your feet. it's nice.
search junkyards or call house of camaro or somthing

I had an 82 SC like that, it was like pulling teeth to find the vent plate and they didn't really work that well at all, plus that would be a PITA to install if the car didn't come equipped with it

If any of you have ever sat in the back of these cars you know that A LOT of air gets back there. To the point where it's just uncomfortable. That's why I like sitting in the front seat a lot more. Prefferably the left one.
all you would have to do to install them is pull the dash. it would be a 3 hr job or so. 5 if you have never done it before... maybe. i was not sure if it was firebird only or not. it is kinda rare. i don't think all heater only cars got it. i have the only one i have ever seen with ram venting.
it only realy works on less then hot days. but if it's cool outside and hot in the car it works wonders. besides, it's airflow.

Stay out of the car and park your a$$ next to a cool ac vent........
Otherwise drive a car that has AC................
Well watching TV last night they showed a picture of the #77 Dodge Challenger Trans Am race car. I noticed on the driver's window a V, more like a L shaped thing. It was a square duct made to take air from the outside from around the front windsheild and blow it in the drivers seat. This could be easy to make and fasten to the car to where you can remove it whenever needed.
The device was turned at a angle to where one opening turned into the windsheild and the other to the driver seat like this "\_" like that. Rought idea, wish i had a picture of it. But it aimed back at the driver, so like an L angled a bit to ctach air and to direct it in.
I like my idea of the front windshield removal beter

I agree it would be the cheapest way to go and you will get one hell of a breeze LMAO!!! or why dont you trade your car in for one that has a/c, or cut the top off yours
I fight this heat problem ever year. I end up just buying a fan.
Have tried in the past to buy a bad but use-able notch back.
Id run it bare and windowless just for the summer.
If I could get my hands on a nice stripped down shell body cheap I wanna play monster garage and try to make a true roadster out of a 3rd gen. Id perfer an iroc for its sharp angle lines. But make it a true doorless, topless 2 seater roadster.

that really works wonders for airflow! i did it a couple years ago on accidentand it was great. also did you guys know at about 45-50 mph the hatch will close itself from the downforce of the stock spoiler?
pop the hatch like folks use to do with their systems? add a hatck lock extender so its cracked an inch so folks can hear the bass. Which is ok as long as the license plate doesn't rattle.
