windshield surround trim availability?

Hi all. I am just finishing a 1986 camaro project here in the UK. The windshield was removed to facilitate the painting, and will need to go back in soon. Where do you guys get your trim surround from? It obviously has to be fitted at the same time. Any vendors?

Thanks for any reply.
Andy.

At the junk yard, I always pull off the windshield trims and if they break no biggie, if they don't I sell them on e-bay.

OK, I get it. I didn't realize you meant junkyard, I thought you were calling him JY, like using initials. Damn I feel dumb.
By the way, any available?

82 Iron Duke: If you do sell them on ebay, do you have 1 available?

Andy.

Andy, I don't have a new one, I don't even think they are available new anymore. I don't have one right now but if you place an ad in the exterior parts wanted section I am sure something will come up.

I just checked it out, apparently it is still available. With S+H it comes to about $30. I may end up getting one if I can't locate a good one at the salvage yard.

Do a search for windshield trim-- there was a discussion a while back about GM -vs- aftermarket and some glass installers said that the aftermarket trim actually fits better than the GM. It was something about the width of the trimpiece IIRC.

there were 2 kinds of windshield trim. One for '82-'84, the other for '85-'92. They are different widths. Not sure which is which, but there are 2 different types.
