Hey Niel, my car is done getting painted. I was so super exited to go pick it up. I can only imagine how you are going to feel. I got week in the knees. haha.
Woa, can't belive I just now looked at this thread. Read thru all 10 pages. Had pictured someone just restoring a camaro, didn't imagine the custom stuff you have going on. Very nice job.
As far as the brake ducting goes, I don't know if you'ld get enough flow thru the sides, especially if it's going right to a 90 bend. If the backing plate is completely sealed, then you might not get any flow to the back of the rotor and actually make the condition worse. I ordered the dust shields from SKULTE (a member here). They shouldn't be too hard for your guy to fab up. I also would use hose intended for brake ducting, not dryer hose. For mine, I had originally planned on boxing my radiator and mounting the naca ducts on the side of the box behind the bumper, since the box would be pressureized, there would be ample flow to the brakes. I've since abandoned the turn signals and went direct from there. I know that's not really an option for you and you may not really need ducting, but I think the radiator box idea could work out well for you.
I'm really diggin the color. I'm was planning on Navy Blue Metallic (vettes and 4th gens) w/ Sebring silver stripes, but now I might have to reconcider my choice of blue.
All...Thank you again for your kind words! The guy who painted on the graphics/emblems is Pat Maxwell of Maxwell Designs. I am very happy with his work, he also did all the graphics on the Royal Purple truck which was at SEMA.
GMan 3MT, thanks for your input on the brakes and when I get to that point of the build up, I will contact you for more info. I like your setup!
Wow this car and this topic are awesome....I dont really have time to chat on this board much because life is crazy. but i still take 5 minutes every mourning to see what new with Neils car.
Neil car looks amazing like you have heard 1000 time before. I am fixed to this post like many others.
To be honest with you when I heard the emblems were going to be painted on I had my doubts.....You guys totally proved me wrong! I love the way they look. Looking forward to more pictures as the car comes together! Great work so far guys.

Ok guys here's a photo of the Royal Purple truck which is absolutely bada$$!!!!! Maxwell did the Graphics on this truck and John, the body work, interior, etc...
Also, for those that wanted to see pics of the paint/graphics with clearcoat in the sun here ya go. I am loving all these pics! In a day or so, John will have some more pics of the car as he starts re-assembly!!
I hope I don't crash the site with all these pics, but hey that's what it's for right!
I am really liking the color after seeing it outside. Makes a huge difference.....Any body shots outside? You'd never know the bumper was widened!

you know you can host pictures for free at www.photobucket.com that way it wont tick off the moderators about bandwith and such
that color looks to be really amazing. i didnt think blue would be a good color for that car until i saw it. its great you are doing this to a 3rd gen and not just doing it to some new mustang or corvette. good luck with the rest of it

AMAZING CAR!!!!!!!!
Are you going to be putting the IROC decals on the car or painted on the actual car or are those not going back on?
Thanks alot! and no, I am not having the IROC-Z decal stuck on or painted on. I haven't had that on for a while and I think it looks better without IMO.

And the rear bumper on with lights and license plate! Not bad, eh?
The truck in a previous post is one that John restored and Maxwell did the graphics on, just wanted to show you the work this guy does. I thought I mentioned this?
IMHO, the license plate turned out horrible... I mean, c'mon... OKLAHOMA?!?! I hope that was used just for fitting purposes and you really have a Texas plate, tho you should be thinking about getting a personalized one for $40 more.
Coming together great guys....keep the pics coming!

Laughing, new pics have been e mailed to Neil tonight of the complete car! This isn't the only car we have guys so be patient.....didn't do anything on this over the weekend and was not at the shop Monday to take pictures
Pics are in and the car is together!!! I love it, now it just seems like it's never enough.....need the wheels and brakes on the car!!! The body work and paint look fantastic IMO. Just close your eyes and imagine the i-Forged wheels/the red calipers on and if anyone knows how to photoshop some wheels on the car that would be great!
Thanks Neil, It is going together really well. OF COURSE EVERYTHNG FIT TOGETHER PERFECTLY THE FIRST TIME....haha....Did I actually say that? There were a few issues, always are, but it looks really very good.
