WTF? Not one person here, or I've talked to locally, has a single thing about it being cheesy. It is being done so clean, it looks factory, maybe except for the door handle, which are always manual from a factory, not electric only.

I hope your comment was made, by only looking at the last page of the thread, not reading it from page 1. Because, it is "super nice", in your words.

If he was referring to the 'glass fenders, that is what the "quote" button is for.

That would be like a single reply saying..."You suck!" OK...24 pages of replies, with no reference of who or which post you are referring to.

A little comon sense goes a long way. No way to know for sure he was referring to the lasp post in the thread, and the Danko fenders.

You said it yourself "a little common sense goes a long way". It was not hard to figure out, but who cares, lets just leave this alone so that this great thread does not get closed because of sensless posts like these!!

My post about the rear quarters maybe being cheasy, WAS REFERING TO THE GLASS ONES. I am in love with the work done to Neil's car. There is no dought in my mind that I am going to go that route one day. I have almost 30 grand into mine and am basically doing the poor boys vertion of his car. Kinda like pull (almost) all the stops and make a killer street machine. When I get out of college I will def look into having work like that done to mine. I have even talked to Neil on here and asked him to look at my CD site. He has and thinks it is comin along great. So please don't tell me that I am making comments that seems strange to you cuz you think that I haven't read the whole thread, if you had, you would have allready known that I love his widening job. Thats all I gotta say about that.

Neil: can't wait to see the motor. My car as at the dyno getting tunned and having all the bugs worked out! I will have pics and vids, then I will def wanna know what you think of her.

Dennis, I can't wait to see your car and the dyno results! I have been dreaming of getting my car to that point! Soon, hopefully.

Now, since I have absoliutely no new pics or news on my car, here's a pic to think about.......

Car update...Neil and I just picked up his remaining 3 tires this afternoon. The wheels are being slightly tweaked as far as rear offset to Neil's exact specs and we should have tires mounted on wheels, rotors, calipers etc on the car by end of next week if we are lucky!

LOL! Regarding the LSX, I heard the release date is now sometime in April! Which sucks, but not so bad, cause i'll stick an LS7 in there.

Seeing as how this is being done in the Woodlands - any chance you're going to make it to one of the Houston Thirdgen events? I think I'd make the drive from Arkansas again, clean up the GTA, and see the car in person if you did

Check out the South Central region forum for more info on the Houston Thirdgenners. I still think we've got the best thirdgens in the country.

Thanks again for the nice words guys!

Here is what I have planned for the interior:

First and foremost, I will install Dynamat Extremeliner on the firewall and in the footwell -trans tunnel areas. Also, will add Dynamat to the doors.
4th gen camaro (2002) dash and center console
4th gen T/A door panels
New ABS headliner covered with black suede
A-pillars covered in suede as well
Black leather will cover sections of the door panels
Momo steering wheel
Black carpet
Black leather Recaro-Trend power seats with lumbar
Valentine 1 radar detector (hard wired)
Debating on a Clifford alarm system with GPS
Auto dimming rear view mirror with temp sensor and compass
Alpine head unit with iPod connector and Sirrius satellite radio, JL Audio 500/1 & 300/4 amps, W7 12" sub
The amps will be mounted in the rear trunk-well area, parallel to the brake lights (hope that makes sense!). I am not sure yet how I will build the sub box.

Engine:
I am going to do my best to be patient for the LSX block. March 31 is the release date as of now!

Last edited by Neil; 01-17-2007 at 10:10 PM. Reason: added engine info.

Well, my commute to work is about 7 minutes on side-streets, so no worry about rock chips. Now, on the highway I know it's gonna happen, but basically any car I drive I will be worried about rock chips. When and if the front end gets hammerde by rocks, i'll have John re-spray it. Getting rock chips are like death and taxes, you have to accept that they will happen.

You can always get that clear vinyl cover film, to help prevent rock chips. Every now and then, just peel it off if needed, and recover it.

Or just get a bra, leave it on for street driving, take it off at the shows.

There's a company based out of San Antonio that makes that stuff, my old roommate is a VP. He also has a third gen.

www.xpel.com

A good "review" if you will, from his personal website
http://www.witchdoctormotorsports.com/ch37plus.htm

I don't know if the have a whole 3rd gen kit yet, but I'm sure you could at least get the hood done.

For the front calipers you can, yes, but for the rear calipers we will have to fab one up
