I have never seen this spoiler, i cant wait till i get this car painted and on the road... it gonna be awsome.
So with the spoiler... i bought this car from a guy on the southside for 400$, it drove home but has overheating problems, needs paint and bodywork (obvious) what do you guys think
IGNORE THE ATTACHED THERE NOT THE PICS, I MESSED UP WITH THE FILE IT IS IN PHOTOBUCKET
Ignore those pics down there the wrong files, but that camaro was the other one i was going to buy but it needed much work

Looks like a nice project, but I can't really give any input on the spoiler.....I cant even see it lol. Am I missing something?
yea thats not the right pic
any ways it doesnt look that bad, it was taken in the dark and the frame is actually like rust free, very solid floor pans and all, just needs some work on that side, the previous owner had already taken care of the other side
There's only a few spoilers (rear) that I can think of. The vert, the standard 3 piece wedge, and the 91-92 Z28. I think the base 88 had another style too. Other than that, I can't think of another OE spoiler.
In 88 the Sport Coupe had a low-rise type of spoiler, like the one I have on my car. Was only made for half a year before they got rid of it. As far as I know there are only 4 types of spoilers, the one for the 88 Sport Coupes being the rarest. Here is a picture of the Sport Coupe one I am talkin bout

The 88 had two different spoilers, the low rise and the three piece, but the three piece on the 88 was much taller than the normal three piece.

Very true on the rarity, but desirable they are not. I had one I couldn't give away

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
The GM RPO code is D81 Spoiler,RR,Aero Wing.I got my 88 from the original owner about 2 1/2 years ago.It is a 305 TBI.I have seen a few of these in the Junkyards and like 82 Iron Duke said they might be scarce but are not real desireable
....OK, we've addressed the low rise spoiler, but I'm gonna have to call shenanigans on the "taller" 1988 3 piece. Got any evidence of this?
I'll get a pic referenced by a tape measure next time I am at the yard.

I've always liked this spoiler the best out of all of them.
I found one a long time ago, and now got it on my 84.

everyone else told me the same thing that my 88 looks taller than there's (there's being 87-90's also) but i have my 88 spoiler off and ill stick it next to my 87 and see if they're different.

3 piece is taller due to the brake light inside it.
but the high rise is the sexiest.
