I've read a couple of posts on modding the flip up head lights but I couldn't find anything that I liked. One thread was pretty cool, but the girl that started the thread didn't actually do the mod.
What I want is to keep my existing pop up head lights, but change the size of the lights, and not have them pop up so high. I was messing around with this on my '82, but that thing is long gone now.
Anyway, has anyone acutally done this? I've seen where someone bought replacement lights that don't pop up, and have clear covers. Those look like crap.
I'm up for any sugestions.

redraif did her car if that's who your talking about she replaced them with drivinglights. deadbird did his and they popped up partially and he used grand prix lights. I think the ones that come up half way are usually called lazy eye or sleepy eye i think. im not sure as im not a firebird person. I seen one the other day on a bird and love the look of it.
One of my headlights are intermitten, so I read somewhere here on TGO about using "Advance Discount AP" aftermarket fog lamps. They are halogen and bolted(screwed rather) right into the stock locations - after taking them out of the housings they came in. With a quick change of the connectors I was in business. My highs are broke and haven't had the dash far enough apart to replace the switch. These lights ROCK they are way brighter than the high beams, and use them as headlights when the stock lights won't go up.
You can see a pic of them in my signature.
