kid was speeding down the turn lane while i was in stopped traffic. I turned into him. He had no insurance and I got a ticket for failure to yeild. I had bruised ribs and a beat up knee, but was fine other than the loss of my mint RS. Its okay, I built another.
my personal feeling is id rather be 6 feet under from some of those car accidents then having to incur the wrath of my parents, lol. almost lost my car a couple of nights ago to some woman blowing a light while i was turning. had to change pants after that one.
84 Trans Am. Bought the thing for $500. Put some good work into it, all it needed was paint. New interior, new suspension, etc ... Then some old bag in a Caprice decided she would turn left RIGHT IN FRONT of me. I hit her doing about 40 mph. T-tops were out, thankfully. The impact pushed the fender onto the door, and I had to climb out the top. Later, when I ripped the interior out, I found buckling all the way down the tranny tunnel. 4 days before my b-day too. Bitch. This is after making some handy work with the sawz all to get the mangled mess out of the way to get the motor out.
Actually I beg to differ about my insurance, I drive a 2004 Mustang (blah) now and I pay less with full coverage. State farm tried to up my insurance after paying my medical bills and I simply dropped then and went with someone else. I posted this on some other forums as well but I guess I forgot to add when I did hit the brakes my tire blew out as you could see in that second picture. I'm honestly glad I hit the dump truck because I probably would have killed the person driving next to me if I didn't overcompensate. I still got careless driving for admitting in court I drove on ten year old tires that have been sitting in a barn. If my insurance went up too bad I would have just gotten married to my fiancee and made my wife the primary driver and insurance holder so I pay less since she's a few years older than me.. like I'll be doing on my '09.
And also, someone posted these pictures on Iroc-z.com under the Camaro Wrecks and it wasn't me. I'd like to know who did it. I still have the title that matches the tags in the picture.

I just dont understand how you confuse the brakes and the gas? I guess it was just one of those statistics with inexperienced drivers. At leaste everyone was okay. But I'd hate to have his new insurance rate...
Friend of mine was driving down a little too fast down a twisty backroad and didn't make the turn. Went airborne, through a telephone pole, and about 150 yards into a muddy field. Originally he was gonna rebuild it himself, but decided to drop a 454 in an '81 Camaro he had instead. So I bought it from him for real cheap, all the new body panels included, and I'm currently rebuilding it.
These are not mine, they are from last year, I hope he does not mind me posting them....
Hate to bring up old (and depressing threads) but I haven't been able to forget about these pics in particular since they were posted in 2007. Does anybody have the history about this car and what caused the accident?? I know someone said a moving van hit him or visa vera.. Looks like the car was registered in Texas and he had a LT1 in there.. What I really wanna know is how fast was he or she going to cause that kinda damage???
Since this thread came back from the dead I figured I'd post a picture of one of the worst cars we've had. This was a 50k mile IROC that had just come from California before it got hit. This car had been NICE!!! It got hit so hard it broke the transmission in half. The driver's fender is actually still bolted on but you would never know it. However, the weirdest part is the the hood was PERFECT!!! How that happened I'll never know.
