replacing fender, how much ground effects need to come off?

i have 92 firebird and have a replacement fender to put on it, but there are ground effects 'in the way' how much of the ground effects have to come off? where do you begin in removing them? how do you begin??? don't mean to sound dumb, but the last fender we did didn't involve ground effects!

Re: replacing fender, how much ground effects need to come off?

If it's bolted on to the fender like the rocker ground effects(runs along the side of the car under the door and bolts to the fender) you need to unbolt it and the fender will come out. You don't need to take that rocker gfx completely off. Also the fender gfx needs to be taken off completely.

well the gfx came off easy enough, but putting it all back together was a pain since some stuff wasn't straightened out from the previous owner's accident! it's all back together now though...only need to put new pinstriping on like i had before.
