Can someone show me a picture of a 91 or 92 Trans Am without the body side molding. I am sending my car in for paint and I think I am going to remove mine, I would like to see a picture of one before I commit to make sure it doesn't mess with the lines or something, I am just used to them being there...
A red one would be nice but any color will do, thanks in advance.

Oh, no not the GFX, the body side modling, the little bead of rubber at the arch of the door to prevent the nasty door dings.
I've seen some Camaros with body side molding, but wonder what the 91-92 TA GFX will look like without them.

My bad. Mine doesn't have those. I wish it did, the drivers door has like 7 light dents in it. Heres some pics:

I have a suggestion or an alternative. 4th gen firebird side moldings on the doors are the exact same length as the 3rd gen side moldings on the doors. They are not as 'fat' as the 3rd gen side moldings.

Nice, thanks guys that was what I needed to see.
I can see that I like it with out the molding just fine.
The fourth gen molding is also a good idea.
I think I will go with out, but I will have mine painted when the car is painted and just keep them in storage, then if I get a couple ding I might put them back on over the dings and make it look new again.
Thanks guys for the pictures, your cars look good.
