Does anyone work at a GM Dealership? HELP!

I'm in need of a 3 piece air damn for 91-92 GTAs. I got in touch with a member on the board who found a set in CA. He's not responding to PMs any more.

My local GM dealership won't help me. I was hoping someone who worked at a GM dealer could help me get this 3 piece part.

Thanks!
Bill

Did you try Gm parts direct, should be listed under the cooling/radiator support area. If they can't it, GM may have discontinued it.

James and Chevyowner,

Thanks for the links! Those are for 90 and below 'birds. I'll buy that as a last resort, if I cant get this.

Iroc, GM did discontinue the part. But, there is a dealer in CA that still has it. I just need someone to get their hands on it for me.

Thanks again!

From Hawks" Firebird 82-90 Lower Air Dam (Benefits Cooling), this is a three piece unit, will work with any 82-90 Firebird, it will work with 91-92 cars with minor modification of the holes. This will help with overheating, shipping is not included, s/h in US will vary from $10.00-$15.00"

What part numbers did the your GM dealer give you?
These?
Center - 10118498
Left - 10118555
Right - 10118554

I can't call today because they're closed but a company called Vintage Parts, Inc. buys old GM stock and then will hold it to resell back to dealers later on. My computer says they still stock them but they're closed right now. I can call them tomorrow and double check as well as get pricing. My dealer charges cost + 10% on anything GM.

Re: Does anyone work at a GM Dealership? HELP!

My locator shows two dealerships in CA with the center piece

WM. L. MORRIS-FILLMORE
(805)524-0921
1024 VENTURA ST
FILLMORE, CA 93015

and

HARDIN BUICK-PONTIAC-GMC
(800)517-2784
1321 AUTO CENTER DR
ANAHEIM, CA 92806-5412

Whether their stock is correct is yet to be seen.

Surprisingly list price isn't too bad @ ~$26. I was going to offer to order those in for anyone and give 'em the TGO discount, cost + 10%. But Cost on that is $20 so you really wouldn't save anything.

Re: Does anyone work at a GM Dealership? HELP!

You should just be able to call the dealership that has the parts you need and pay with a credit card over the phone and have them ship it to you. I had to do that when I was buying my t-tops weatherstripping because GM only had stock left of one side.
