Does anyone know if the newer 4 and 5 gen camaro ss wheels or corvette wheels will fit on a 3 gen? Im assuming the lug pattern is correct but what about the offset? thanks!

OK, I found some info finally on the corvette rims.
"18 x 9.5 rears and the fronts are 17 x 8.5 using 2'' spacers all around."
And
"factory C6 vette 18/19 combo. Fronts fits great with 1.7-2" spacer. rear needs a big spacer for stock rear end, something like a 2.5" should do with some wheel well hammering which only takes a minute or two to do"

My only thing is the wheels I'm getting are 17" you would think the spacers would be less if the size is less?

The size of the wheel does not make a difference. It is all in the back spacing. There are lot of wheels that will fit the 3rd gen, it is just up to you if you want to go with spacers or not. Sometimes you can use a smaller than recommended spacer but you just have to go through a test fit phase. I bought a few sets of spacers to try different spacers on fronts and rears. It is a trial and erro but if you really jsut want to throw them on the 2 in spacer is usually the trick and 2.5 on occasion

OK, I keep hearing about turning and needing 2" spacers to get the best turning. Got any info on that? Also where did you get your spacers?

Ive heard of spacers rocking the tire loose, so you have to keep the wheels tightened more often, is this true? also with spacer would i need extended lugnuts?

With the slip-on spacers, that always a possibility, but not real likely, if you tighten your lug nuts well. The factory did that on aluminum drum cars, which had to stand up to warranties & customer satisfaction.


The new lug nuts wull come with them. Adapters bolt to the original 5 lugs, then there are 5 new wheel studs, that the wheel bolts to.
