'87 camaro t-tops

hey there, i'm new.

i've got an '87 IROC, and i recently purchased a bunch of parts off a guy who used to own an '85 IROC. one of the things i got (that i didn't particularly NEED... but i wanted!) was new t-top glass, with plastic/rubber around the edges of the glass and black edges that hang over the side. the ones i have now don't have anything around the edges and the overhang is grey.

i tried putting the new ones on my car today, and they didn't fit. i couldn't lock them in.
i didn't think they changed much of the body styling from '85 to '87... so is this just me?? somebody help!

here's a picture of my baby. she needs some lovin', so be gentle.

well you have to first look at the pin size. there will be pins that come out of the sides of the tops that lock them into retainers, there are two different pin sizes, small, and big. you may have a problem with that. secondly you may just have to adjust the retainers that the pins fit into. nothing body wise changed

take them apart and switch the locking mechanism and the pins. it is only like four screws, its not hard to do. there is a post on how to do it somewhere on here
