Decal Placement

Where do you guys think it should go? I edited the pic with Iroc rims and pin striping too, so you can get the proper feel I am going for.
I am torn between the 2, keep in mind that I am using Iroc emblems and not Z-28 emblems on the rockers and rear bumper

Re: Decal Placement

I don't kinda like it at the rear of the door more, and since your going to have the IROC emblems in the rocker panels it would be pretty close to just say IROC twice.

Re: Decal Placement

Anyone know why the decal moved to the rear of the door?

Re: Decal Placement

I've always thought they looked out of place on the rear of the door. I know some overpaid GM designer thought it was a good idea, but to me it just looks wrong.

Re: Decal Placement

Personally I like the front of the door but it should probably be located according to the year of the car (for authenticity) even though it's a clone.

Does anybody know the exact dimensions for spacing the door decal from the leading edge of the door and the bottom of the door?

I actually prefer the decal at the back of the door. But I agree with KnottyBuoyz, you should place it according to the year of the car.

Re: Decal Placement

My opinion is based on what you presented for pictures; rear looks better to me.

Normally, with a clone, you would match the decals and emblems to their original places. However, since the hood and I believe the rims? will be altered, I say just go for what you think looks best and for two reasons:

1) After all the work you did, I don't forsee you selling it anytime soon and;

2) If you take care of it, when you do sell, it will fetch more and someone looking to pay that money who has already researched the car, will know that it's not original, so the correct placement of decals won't be at the top of lack of originality concerns.

To end, I'd like to say that I followed your 'cloning' posts and think that your car came out great!
