Your lucky you got that much from your insurance company. I have a 91 and when someone decided to toss a bunch of crap in my gas tank they spent 1500 bucks doing repairs because i wanted to keep the car. Otherwise they were going to total it and only give me 900 bucks. Let alone i still owe on a loan. I hate the fact that our cars KBB is ridiculously low. 900 for mine. And there wasnt a difference between the V6 and V8 models. Hope you get her fixed and back on the road.

first get full coverage and then insure it at a stated value if totaled
KITT is inusred a stated value of $10,000 and I have full coverage
Funny thing is my 84 z28 looked the same when i got it, the front bumper brackets on the frame are bent up, and looked similar. I just kept the bumper support on and bent it down with a crow bar.
ha ha yea it goes into the body shop to get those frames bent back down the guy said it will cost somewre to 100-200$ to get it fixed with labor so to me its not all bad? and i bought my new hood put it on there now i need to get hood pins and get the shop to put it in. i just hope my hood doesn't crack while they do it...
