That sux but it dose look kinda neat. lol i got a front end if u wanna buy it its for an 84 but the ground affects on it is all messed up, its faded black which looks about like your car so it will match. You can pick up a front end and a hood for about $150total. I paid $75 for the front end and $50 for a hood. Good luck fixing it.
yea friend in town has a front bumper for $50 but i need a new fan meaybe radator new fan housing new headlight housing thing some guy is buying my hood he said it could fix it
here is what I would do.Park it for now.Save up about $500 watch craigslist etc find and buy a camaro that is being sold for parts, etc.Take all the parts you need. Then take every good part off it that you dont need then sell it on ebay.It will take you a little bit to get your car 2 mint but you will get enuff $ to fix it and paint the ****ed up stuff.
Easy fix, as long as you didn't damage the front of the subframe... shouldn't take any longer than a weekend to fix if so, assuming you have all the required parts.
Why do you get to graduate so early? I'm not done until the middle of June... I'm jealous!
dont know lol the rest of the school don't get out until the 21st lol and i beleive the subframe or the frame part before the radiator is bent... but i don't think its bent to much i hope... at least i dont think it is
lol yea and the cop said i did $500 for the granprix... all i saw was a small crack in the bumper and and the grill mesh **** up front was broken? that don't seem like 500 for me and the cop put down on the paper mine had $300 in damage lol?
yea and anything can be easily broken :P i'll end up getting more pictures some time today or tomorrow.
yea... well i still havn't got a estimate on my car yet.. but the other lady i hit hers was $1600 which is bullshit! and the guy i went to he restores cars like ours and older camaros and such and hes really good at his work... he drove by after work never stopped yet but he said the insurance company might total out my car... so i might be third genless i have the option to buy it back if they do but i have no idea what i should do
Insurance companies will ALWAYS total a Third Gen. But I would definitely buy it back. The damage doesn't look bad beyond a nose clip, headlight bucket, possible hood, and maybe a radiator support. The hood can probably be straightened out even. The nose is toast, but I would definitely keep that and fix it.

luckily it didn't screw up my fenders... my fenders were untouched surprisingly
The top of the hood was also untouched.. only the underneath of the hood was damaged
part of the hood support i think came apart from hood my dad and his brother are attempting to fix the white piece of **** mercury atm so i have something to drive MAJOR DOWNGRADE!!
ok now this is wierd... this one fan blade is bent which hits the radiator.... odd though after the crash i kept the car running for like 5 minutes then all of a sudden i started hearing the fan hit the radiator... but nothing for the 5 minuites... so somehow the fan blad got bent... its a mystery...

i know for a fact the insurance company is going to total it... no way in hell there going to waste that much money for a third gen... so i'll be stuck with $1000 or less after rebuying it back....
i had a similar crash last year and fixed it.
i spent about 300 for everything at the junkyard and did the labor myself (except paint)
i remember spending 36 bucks for the hood
And they didn't even figure any setup and measure or pull time on the front frame rails. And what about the bumper impact bar and impact absorber. Unless the bumper price was for a used bumper assembly you may need more parts. Unfortunately what the shop probably did was write an estimate until they were sure the car would total out and then stopped writing without even finding all the damage or completeing the estimate.
In my opinion it's still worth buying back and fixing though. Especially if you're good with a wrench and aren't afraid to work on your own car... like so many young people these days.

That's the estimate that I was figuring on. The stuff adds up.
oh he knows that the car will be totalled... hes pretty good from what i seen from his work... insurance company might give me around $2200 for the car buying it back for 10% of that... but the problem is i still have a loan out for it... so that cuts half of my cash leaving me around 800....
i wouldn't do that, the hood looks in good shape and all that, maybe buy the parst yourself and fix it, alot of these people on here would be glad to help ya out
LOL YEA YEA im gettung there when i start redoiing t he engine so it can be a dirty girl for now and plus u go to wiork were its all dirt so yea... and the insurance guy is comming out tomnmorow
well the insurance guy called and said there going to total it off... for around $2100 then i have full coverage and a 500 deductible.. so thats $1600 and i buying it back for $250 so that leaves me with $1450... but i still have loan on it and thats around $900-$1100 so im stuck with like nothing :S
You say that leaves you with nothing ... I say that leaves you with a car thats paid for and 400 to 500 to fix it up with. I know you don't have the experience fixing wrecked cars that I have but I would see this as an opportunity.
sorry to hear about your wreck the weird thing is exactly a week befor your wreck i was in almost the same exact wreck just i hit an suv so its mostly the top part of my nose and hood that are messed the worst part is the hood latch is bent and the hood wont open. but other than being a little higher up and only on the drivers side my car look alot like yours

wierd.... yea me and hopefuly my freinds who also have thirdgens will help me fix it... i just want it running again... and did you try to pop open your hood from the hood latch thing inside your car? i forgot all about it i felt retarded after i figured out i had to pull the hood release inside the car :S then it came open but now it won't shut :S
fix it lol and why do they have clear coat on the estimate when its a single stage paint car, either way your going to have to totaly repaint the car, but it can be fixed for alot cheaper than that
atleast try and get another 82 83 84 front end on it

ya i pulled the release in the car and got that part undone but the other safty latch thing is bent and wont come undone but im preaty sure i can get to the bolts and undo it i just haven't yet cause i need the hood closed so i can drive it and im not sure if it will close
but i think got lucky cause im pretty sure that i willl just need a new nose and hood and maybe the latch bracket cause that seams to be bent keeping the hood from opening. plus mine isn't geting totaled out cause i dont have full coverage but i dont get anything witch id rather that then it being totaled.but the estiamte i got was for 2,100 the thing i dont get is they wanted almost 500 for a new hood and its just a plain rs hood and u get a z hood for under 300 wtf?

well for 214.00 you can get a 3 core alumimun radiator set up for the trans cooler direct plug in. most of the other pieces you can pick up in a junk yard.
get as much as you can from the insurance and fix the rest yourself. and that way way over priced for the paint. http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/ex...aro-parts.html (Third Gen Camaro Parts CHEAP!) has some parts cheap - radiator 75.00 lots of parts can be gotten here and cheaper than your used parts from the repair shop.

im hoping i can do most of the work myself the radiator doesn't even seem to be broken atall... no leaking from what i seen... or whats on the road for running it for 10 minutes without a problem... besides the fan
And I know it violates your auto insurance, however its technically not illegal, but in the long run it would have been cheaper not to report it to them. Your rates will more than what it would be out of pocket.
Darn shame though.
This does give me a great idea though: ANGRY MARO WRAR (complete with upside down grill!)!

the studs for the nose are hidden. they attach to the fenders and theres about 1 1/2 maybe where they attach. i think i had to go from the bottom and the top to get all of them. i believe there is 8 all together 4 per side.
yea me and my uncle got it off but we decided to take the actual bumper piece off to which then i guess we found out how to take the actually bumper of.. i got pics of what the most damage is to fix from what i see..
Sorrry shirt got in the way... it was windy outside...
i think im going to have the body shop fix that.... and i figured out how much left i have on my loan and how much the insurance company gave me and i owe the bank $7.08 so i didn't get ****!!!
