front nose cone to hood gap

my 1988 camaro is going back together and ive noticed about a 1 1/2 inch gap between the hood and nose cone although i dont have the headlight bucket bolted in but how do you take up the gap any help would be appreciated thanks

I had about a 1 inch gap when i installed my goodmark hood and I just stacked washers under the lip of the nose till it raised up to my liking.
