To paint or replace Side Door Moldings?

Guys,

I have a white 88 Formula that I plan on painting soon. What options do I have for the side door moldings? They are very well attatched and in good condition but are permenantly dirty to the point where I need to do something.

Can these be easily painted or should I find replacements?

I would love to just be able to paint them instead of having to find new ones and hope I get them put on perfectly. Ive even been considering painting them black to add a little bit of difference to the car. I thought it would look good with the tint, black formula sticker, center caps, etc.

If your going to paint ur car, than i would just sand it. Unless ur moldings are messed up that it NEEDS replacing, i would just sand it, wipe it clean and prime it.

If ur going to replace it, just measure everything carefully and write it down. Then mask it with tape to give you a guidline were to put it.
goodluck
