Im in the process of sanding my 86 iroc-z down to metal to paint it. Ive been trying to come up with a color to paint that'll match my interior, but haven't quite made up my mind. What do y'all think?
A buddy of mine used to have a silver 87' base coupe with red interior. It matched well. I've also seen a silver IROC with red IROC badges. It looked good, but I don't know what color interior it had.
I would paint it Medium Garnet Red. This is a nice red that reflects jewel like highlights in direct sunlight.
Why don't you marry it then...lol. Just kidding. Picture?
I say go with the stock white. Not many white with red interiors out there, and it will definitely make the interior stick out more (more than the old white lets it stick out now).
It's funny 'cause just yesterday I was talkin to my dad about goin with gunmetal grey. I was cleanin up my wheels and saw the grey. I think it'd look really cool. That's what I'm leanin towards at the moment.
I also have a picture of a gunmetal/red thirdgen in later body style such as yours for further reference. I'm sure it's someone on this forum, I just can't figure out who. Awesome looking car, though... here it is:
