Hey guys i'm a newbie to thread posting here, i was wondering if theres anyway that my recently purchased fiberglass cowl hood that is setup for hinge and latch application can use hood pins and the hinges without the latch.. or does hinges cause the hood to angle down too much and would cause an oblong hole for the hoodpins...i hope that makes sense lol. Thanks guys.

Welcome to the site. You can pin the front of the hood and remove the latch from it if you wish to.
Buy a good set of hood pins, the parts store ones are cheap and rust out.
i have a fiberglass hood and have it a totall pin on.. i did have the front pined and the rear on hinges but i forgot to lock the pins one night and it ripped off... lucky it didnt hit the car or break.. it landed bottom down in the road behind me at 2am so noone was on the road. lucky me.. it could have been a lot worse. as long as u measure right u can drill the holes right.. start out with a small bit and make sure ur all lined up and then use the bigger drill bit to drill the hole for the pin.. shouldnt take u more then 30 min to install
