Car: 2011 6.2 Silverado, 88/85 camaro | Fixed a gap nicely. Well, I had the dreaded gap in between the top of my front bumper cover and my hood.
started adding washers under the bumper cover lip and would close the hood till there was no gap. I drilled 4 holes along the front down through the head light bar, trying not to crack the fiberglass. I cut 4 - 6" lengths of all thread rod, and dropped each piece down through a stack of washers (10 washers) I put a nut on the top and one nut on the bottom of each stack.
This worked great, and it is fixed in place. I can take a picture if anyone really wants to see it. Also, if any of you ever crack your light bar, here is a great way to fix it. Buy a box of that Bondo fiberglass repair. I cut a length of fiberglass mesh, mixed up some resin and hardener, dipped it in, wrapped it around where I need to, brushed on some more resin and now its like the piece never broke off, good as new, very strong. | | |
